Discounts & Tanazzul Fees update for Pilgrims – Hajj 1445AH/2024

The South African Hajj and Umrah Council (SAHUC) is pleased to inform all Pilgrims of important updates regarding discounts for Camp D and adjustments to Tanazzul fees for Camp A during the upcoming Hajj pilgrimage.

Discounts for Camp D: Through diligent negotiations, SAHUC has secured discounts for Pilgrims residing in Camp D. These discounts aim to alleviate financial burdens and ensure a more accessible pilgrimage experience for all.

Increase in Tanazzul Fees for Camp A: Pilgrims assigned to Camp A are advised of an increase in Tanazzul fees. This adjustment is necessary due to the utilization of private buses during the five days of Hajj. While this may entail additional expenses, it is essential to enhance transportation efficiency and Pilgrim comfort during this sacred journey. Kindly note that this service is an agreed service between your selected operator and the Muassasah.

Summary for either a refund to the Hujjaaj or additional monies due to the travel operator.

5 days of Hajj pricing reduction: Table 1 on page 2

1. All Hujjaaj must receive a refund for the CAMP and Ministry fees as per table 1 breakdown below. (SAR293.10)
2. Tanazzul pricing reduction or additional money due to the travel operator: Table 2 on page 2 – CAMP D Hujjaaj
   • a) Landing in Madinah, refund due: SAR42.29
   • b) Landing in Jeddah and going to Madinah, refund due: SAR76.64
   • c) Landing in Jeddah and going to Makkah first, Hujjaaj to pay additional: SAR91.27
3. Tanazzul pricing reduction or additional money due to the travel operator: Table 3 on page 2 – CAMP A Hujjaaj
   • Landing in Madinah. Hujjaaj to pay additional: SAR637.36
   • Landing in Jeddah and going to Madinah. Hujjaaj to pay additional: SAR603.01
   • Landing in Jeddah and going to Makkah first. Hujjaaj to pay additional: SAR770.92

Tanazzul and bus system overview:

1. Travel operators must book a minimum of 35 Hujjaaj per bus trip with a maximum of 45 passengers.
2. If a travel operator wants to book a bus for less than 35 Hujjaaj, the empty seats will be charged.
3. All Hujjaaj who decided not to travel in the groups will have to book private transport from the airport to the hotels. The travel operator will facilitate this on your behalf and could charge a fee depending on your quote and contract terms and conditions.
4. If any of the Hujjaaj wants a private bus during the (five) 5 days of Hajj from Arafat to Muzdalifah, and then to Aziziah, please consult with your travel operator as this service is outside the Tanazzul fees charged.
5. If any Hujjaaj wants to travel via the Haramain high speed train, please consult with your travel operator as this cost is outside the Tanazzul fees charged.

Tanazzul cost include the following:

1. Arrival charges for landing at the airport
2. Bus transportation from airport to the hotel; hotel transfer between cities ; bus transportation from Aziziah to Jeddah airport for your outbound flight.
3. Taradudiyah (Shuttle program) bus transportation during the 5 days of Hajj as follows: Aziziah to MINA, MINA to Arafat and Arafat to Muzdallifah.

Kindly note: Each operator has its own unique way of dealing with the overs and unders between themselves and the accredited Hujjaaj. Pilgrims are thus urged to await contact from the respective operator to finalize the overs and unders accordingly. The refund process may vary between operators.

Please note that the prices herein are current pricing from the Ministry of Hajj & Umrah/ Muassasah and is subject to change at the sole and absolute discretion of the Muassasah and/ or the Ministry of Hajj & Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and is further subject to the fluctuating exchange rate.
